Edit the submission for spelling, grammar, formatting, and readability

Create a title, excerpt, or summary

Place the story into categories such as branch, era, or topic

Use the content in website sections such as Stories, Heroes, Honor Wall, or Featured Stories

Display the submitted name, branch, rank, years served, photo, or tribute information if provided

You understand that submitting content does not guarantee that it will be published.

4. Ownership of Submitted Content

You keep ownership of the content you submit.

However, by submitting content to Military Stories, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use, publish, display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted content in connection with the Military Stories website and related promotional or archival use.

This means you may still use your story or photo elsewhere, but you also allow Military Stories to publish it.
